Sage smudging is a release ritual used to exorcise evil spirits, negative energy, and ill intentions.
The intention of sage smudging is to bind up demons, dark spirits, and negative energy and then cast them out of space – place, person or thing. It is a sacred practice that should be handled with care.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.
When smudging with Sage, you must operate with pure intent and invite-only pure energy in place.
The leaves must be harvested from a source where the land is respected and considered sacred and the binding must be performed by a trusted Spiritual Advisor or Guide.
When you smudge a space with Sage, you must go in clockwise motions to bring something in (invoking) or perform your ritual counterclockwise motions to let something go or release (banishing.)

Every assignment of the enemy has been cancelled, uprooted, and destroyed.
I rebuke every negative entity, negative energy, ill-intended thoughtform or evil presence from this space.
I only invite all things that are righteous, of goodwill and pure intentions to operate in the presence of this space.
May the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit occupy this space and thereby release all that no longer serves me.
